WEST ATTICA FAIRVILLE LAB | 2nd Cycle of Local Workshops:"Industrial Activities & Environmental Inequalities at the Thriasio Plain"

An open event and discussion on the impacts of industrial activities in Elefsina will take place on Saturday 16 November 2024, 18:00 at the 2nd High School of Elefsina as part of Fairville research project.

Aiming to collectively map and understand the environmental problems and inequalities identified in the region and to explore ways of addressing them, West Attica Fairville lab is organising a series of local workshops in West Attica as successive cycles of discussions, participatory research and mapping activities that focus on specific contextualized environmental issues and inequalities.

During the previous workshops' cycle we mainly focused on Fyli landfill and the issue of waste management in the region.

The present cycle of local workshops focuses on the development of industrial activities and the hidden environmental and social inequalities in Elefsina.

Christos Christakis, environmental activist, resident and councillor of Elefsina, will provide an initial insight into the region at our meeting on Saturday.

The event is open to anyone living in the region and/or wishing to take part in the discussion.

We are looking forward to welcoming you!
